Simple Cocktail Recipes for a Night-In with Friends

There’s nothing more exhilarating than the feeling you get when Friday night rolls around
and it is time for a fun night in with friends! And whether you’re a social butterfly or a house
cat, seeing a friendly face is always a highlight! And to do so with a tasty and beautiful-
looking cocktail in-hand definitely doesn’t hurt either!

So, we’ve prepared a list of simple cocktail recipes for you to have a low-key night in with

Tequila Sunrise

Quite possibly the easiest cocktail to make, tequila sunrise requires:

  • Tequila
  • Orange juice
  • Grenadine
  • Oranges

To prepare one tequila sunrise:

  • Simply add 60 ml of your favourite tequila and 120 ounces of orange juice into a highball glass
  • Add 7 ml of grenadine
  • Garnish with an orange slice (optional)

And what do you have? A totally Instagram-able cocktail that took you all but two minutes to prepare!

If you’re not a fan of tequila however, you could always opt for a champagne cocktail! They’re always a hit, and will make you feel super classy, especially if you use a champagne flute.


For this simple champagne cocktail, you’ll need:

  • Orange juice
  • Champagne
  • Triple Sec
  • Oranges

To prepare:

  • Add 50 ml of orange juice into your champagne glass (around ¾ of the glass)
  • Fill the glass with champagne
  • Top with a splash of Triple Sec
  • Garnish with an orange peel (optional)

Easy peasy, no?



Next on our list is something for all of the gin lovers! A Negroni is a favourite and so easy to prepare, it’ll definitely win over your friends.

You’ll need:

  • Sweet Vermouth
  • Campari
  • Gin
  • Ice
  • Oranges

To prepare this Italian-inspired cocktail:

  • Add 25 ml of gin, 25 ml of Vermouth, and 25 ml of of Campari into an old-fashioned glass
  • Stir
  • Add ice as needed
  • Garnish with an orange slice (optional)

What’s next? Sip on this tasty cocktail as if you were in Rome smiling in the sun.

The Singapore Sling

This next cocktail is one that literally rolls off the tongue! The Singapore Sling, in all of its alliteration glory, is such a great cocktail that makes any night-in with friends infinitively cooler.

For one super tasty Singapore Sling, you’ll need:

  • Gin
  • Cherry brandy
  • Pineapple juice
  • Benedictine
  • Grenadine
  • Cointreau
  • Soda water

And the preparation is so easy!

  • Add 25 ml of gin, 25 ml of cherry brandy, 50 ml of pineapple juice, 10 ml of Benedictine, 10 ml grenadine, and 10 ml of Cointreau into a cocktail mixer and shake!
  • Pour over ice
  • Add a drop of soda water

Two minutes of prep and you’re winning the whole ‘host/hostess’ thing!

Long Island Ice Tea

And last but not least (and a cocktail that’ll surely get the party started), a Long Island Ice Tea! And for the amount of alcohol that goes into this drink, it’s surprising how quick and painless it is to prepare.

To make one tasty Long Island Ice Tea, you’ll need:

  • 25 ml of light rum
  • Vodka
  • Gin
  • Tequila
  • Lime juice
  • Coca-Cola

And to prepare?Simply throw in all of the ingredients!

That is:

  • 25 ml of light rum, 25 ml of vodka, 25 ml of gin, 25 ml of tequila, 50 ml of lime juice, and a dash of Coca-Cola.
